About the role
Office Administrator
Coordinate daily workplace operations to ensure organizational efficiency at a school. This central role serves as the operational backbone, maintaining a highly organized, productive, and welcoming environment for staff, students, and parents.
Responsibilities
- Daily School Operations: Monitor inventory levels for academic, office, kitchen, and printing supplies; execute purchasing workflows within budget limits; serve as main point of contact for property management and external vendors; troubleshoot office equipment malfunctions.
- Communication and Front-Desk Hospitality: Greet incoming parents, students, vendors, and applicants; operate multi-line phone system; distribute mail and correspondence; draft official school memos and announcements.
- Calendar and Logistics Coordination: Manage academic calendars, executive schedules, and conference room bookings; coordinate travel itineraries; organize team meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
- Records Management and Bookkeeping: Maintain secure digital and physical student records; update employee directories and databases; assist accounting team with expense tracking and invoice processing; manage petty cash and reconcile statements.
- Human Resources and Compliance Support: Facilitate new-hire onboarding; collect compliance documents and background checks; promote adherence to health, safety, and operational policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma / secondary school certificate (S.S.C.E) minimum
- 1–3 years of experience in administrative or office support roles, ideally in an educational institution
- Advanced mastery of Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities under tight deadlines
- Critical-thinking skills to resolve administrative issues independently
- Ability to handle sensitive student data and personal information confidently
- Fluent in English
Salary
NGN 200,000–250,000 per month
