Quantity Surveyor

Micdee is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage costs across architectural, interior fit-out, workspace, and construction projects. The successful candidate will provide cost advice, manage budgets and procurement, administer contracts, and ensure projects deliver value within approved budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, project budgets, and detailed cost plans.
  • Conduct cost analysis and advise on cost-effective designs and materials.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditure, and provide regular cost reports.
  • Prepare and review contract documents and subcontractor agreements.
  • Manage variations, claims, disputes, and contractual matters.
  • Assess cost implications of design changes and additional works.
  • Conduct site visits to verify work progress and quantities executed.
  • Monitor project performance and identify potential cost overruns.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in architectural, interior fit-out, workspace, commercial, or residential projects.
  • Experience with furniture, joinery, and office fit-out costing is an advantage.
  • Professional certification/registration such as RQS, NIQS, or QSRBN is an advantage.
  • Strong cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and commercial management skills.
  • Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and architectural/interior drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity take-off/project management software.
  • Knowledge of CostX, Planswift, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools is an advantage.
