Bartender

Responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of drinks, maintaining the bar's cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and a professional approach to alcohol service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and soft drinks according to recipe standards.
• Serve guests at the bar and fulfill floor orders quickly and accurately during peak periods.
• Greet guests warmly, recommend drinks and pairings, and build rapport with regulars.
• Set up the bar before service and close it properly after service.
• Assist with stock control, pour accuracy, FIFO rotation, and stock counts.
• Enter all orders correctly into the POS and handle payments honestly.
• Practise responsible alcohol service and maintain strict hygiene and safety standards.
• Support the Head Bartender and take part in ongoing training.

Requirements

• Minimum: SSCE/WAEC/NECO with credits in English & Maths + professional bartending certificate
• Preferred: OND/HND in Hospitality or Catering
• Required: Professional Bartending/Mixology certificate and Responsible Service of Alcohol
• 2–4 years professional bartending experience in a restaurant, hotel, lounge, or bar
• Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beers, and wines
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling
• Minimum age: 21
