About the role

Assistant Sales Manager

FMR AGENCY is recruiting a results-driven Assistant Sales Manager to support sales operations within a fast-growing FMCG and consumer products organization. You will drive revenue growth, lead the sales team, and execute strategies to expand market presence in a competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Support achievement of sales targets by driving revenue growth, market penetration, and customer acquisition across assigned territories
  • Lead, motivate, and support the sales team to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Develop and implement sales plans, budgets, forecasts, and market strategies
  • Identify new business opportunities and manage customer onboarding and key account relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback
  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports
  • Maintain CRM records and coordinate with internal teams (supply chain, operations)
  • Ensure excellent customer service and timely issue resolution
  • Represent the organization professionally during client meetings and business development activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in sales leadership or supervisory role (preferably FMCG, retail, or consumer products)
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and sales automation tools
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness and ability to travel within and outside Lagos for business activities

Nice to Have:

  • MBA or relevant sales and marketing certifications
  • Ability to communicate in local languages
