About the role

Marketing / Business Development Officer

Natafamdaivid Consulting Nig. Ltd is seeking a Marketing / Business Development Officer to drive advertising sales and revenue generation for our print and digital magazine.

Responsibilities

  • Market and sell advertising space in print and digital magazine platforms
  • Generate revenue through sponsored features, advertorials, inserts, classified adverts, and special publications
  • Secure sponsorships for magazine projects, events, conferences, and promotional campaigns
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, NGOs, and SMEs
  • Identify prospective clients and convert leads into long-term business relationships
  • Prepare compelling marketing proposals, quotations, and presentations
  • Negotiate advertising rates and close sales in line with company policies
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
  • Conduct regular market research to identify emerging business opportunities
  • Work closely with editorial and design teams to ensure timely delivery of client advertisements
  • Maintain accurate records of clients, sales activities, and revenue generated
  • Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Public Relations, or related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in marketing, advertising sales, publishing, media, or business development
  • Experience in magazine publishing, newspapers, advertising agencies, or digital media (advantageous)
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships
  • Confidence presenting to senior executives and decision-makers
  • Strong networking and prospecting skills
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet sales targets
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented mindset
