Accountant (Microfinance Bank)

Skache Integrated Services Limited is seeking a qualified Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen financial controls within our microfinance banking operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and process daily financial transactions
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and maintain the general ledger
• Monitor income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and capital accounts
• Perform bank, customer, loan, and investment reconciliations
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal financial controls
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and microfinance banking requirements
• Support internal and external audits and preparation of regulatory reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis
• Process payments and financial transactions while ensuring proper approvals
• Monitor liquidity and identify financial risks or control gaps

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
• 2–5 years' accounting experience, preferably within a microfinance bank, bank, or financial institution
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, regulatory compliance, and Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated competency in financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and financial analysis
• Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and communication skills
