About the role

Growth Marketing Manager

African Things is seeking a strategic, commercially-minded Brand & Growth Marketing Manager to drive brand awareness, visibility, and business growth locally and internationally. You will develop and execute marketing strategies, represent the brand at key events, build partnerships, and lead lead generation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to grow African Things' brand presence locally and internationally
  • Position African Things as a leading African gifting and lifestyle brand
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company at trade shows, exhibitions, networking events, and corporate meetings
  • Build relationships with potential customers, corporate clients, retailers, and partners
  • Develop lead generation and business development strategies
  • Work with the social media/content team to ensure consistent brand representation across all platforms
  • Plan and oversee marketing campaigns that support brand awareness and sales growth
  • Track key marketing metrics and provide insights on campaign performance
  • Identify partnership opportunities and stay updated on industry trends

Requirements

Must Have:

  • 3+ years experience in marketing, brand management, business development, or related field
  • Experience developing and executing marketing strategies
  • Strong understanding of branding, storytelling, and customer engagement
  • Experience representing a company at events, exhibitions, or networking opportunities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships with different stakeholders
  • Experience managing or collaborating with marketing/creative teams
  • Strong organisational and project management skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in luxury, lifestyle, fashion, gifting, culture, or creative industries
  • Experience with B2B and B2C audiences
  • Experience with international markets
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and SEO
