Litigation Counsel

CMB Nigeria is seeking a Litigation Counsel to handle litigation matters from inception to conclusion with minimal supervision. This role offers the opportunity to represent clients in court, draft legal processes, and manage case files independently while supporting other areas of legal practice within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters from inception to conclusion with minimal supervision
• Draft court processes and conduct legal research
• Represent clients in court
• Manage case files
• Support other areas of legal practice within the firm

Requirements

• Qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria
• 4–7 years post-call experience with strong litigation exposure
• Excellent legal drafting, research, and advocacy skills
• Ability to handle court appearances independently
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Good client relationship and communication skills
