Accountant (Petty Cash / Accounts Payable)

Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our Finance team in Apapa, Lagos. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable and Petty Cash Management, with a strong understanding of financial processes, payment controls, reconciliations, and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions and manage vendor payments
• Manage petty cash transactions and reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and reconcile accounts
• Ensure compliance with financial documentation standards
• Provide general accounting support to the Finance team
• Maintain accurate financial records and payment controls

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 3–4 years' relevant experience in Accounts Payable and Petty Cash Management
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls
• Experience using accounting software or ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or ICAN) is an added advantage
