About the role

Sales Manager – Ancillary Business (Procedures, Opticals & Pharmacy)

Skipper Eye-Q Hospital seeks an experienced Sales Manager to drive revenue growth across surgical procedures, optical sales, and pharmacy services. This role combines strategic business development with team leadership to maximize patient conversion, build institutional partnerships, and achieve ambitious revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement revenue growth strategies for cataract surgeries, retina procedures, glaucoma procedures, LASIK/refractive procedures, optical sales, and pharmacy sales
  • Monitor and improve patient-to-procedure conversion rates through collaboration with clinical teams, counsellors, optometrists, and front-office staff
  • Manage optical sales, including merchandising, promotional campaigns, and inventory optimization
  • Increase pharmacy prescription fulfilment and minimize leakage to external pharmacies
  • Build and maintain relationships with HMOs, corporate organizations, government agencies, NGOs, and referral doctors
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise sales executives, business development officers, optical sales staff, and procedure counsellors
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports with trend analysis and actionable recommendations
  • Ensure excellent patient experience, resolve escalated complaints, and improve retention rates
  • Support marketing campaigns for eye surgeries, optical products, pharmacy offerings, and community outreach programmes
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and ethical selling practices

Key Performance Indicators

  • Monthly ancillary business revenue achievement
  • Surgical conversion rate and procedure bookings/completions
  • Optical and pharmacy sales growth
  • Prescription fulfilment rate
  • Corporate accounts acquired
  • Patient satisfaction and repeat patient rates
  • Gross profit margin of ancillary services

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related discipline
  • MBA is an added advantage

Experience:

  • 5–8 years of sales or business development experience
  • At least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Healthcare, hospital, pharmaceutical, optical retail, or medical device experience is highly preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of hospital operations and ophthalmic procedures
  • Sales forecasting and budgeting
  • CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Data analysis and performance reporting
