Financial Due Diligence Consultant
A Financial Due Diligence Consultant is responsible for conducting a comprehensive review of a company's financial position, historical performance, financial controls, asset base, liabilities, cash flows, and financial sustainability to support restructuring decisions.
Responsibilities
- Review audited and management accounts for the previous 5-10 years.
- Assess the quality and reliability of financial information.
- Evaluate financial reporting standards and IFRS compliance.
- Verify revenue recognition practices.
- Analyze profitability, liquidity, solvency, and efficiency ratios.
- Assess working capital management.
- Review debt structure and financing arrangements.
- Identify trends in operating and capital expenditures.
- Verify major assets and investments.
- Review contingent liabilities and commitments.
- Assess impairment risks.
- Assess adequacy of financial controls.
- Identify weaknesses and fraud risks. Recommend control improvements.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years' experience in financial due diligence.
- Oil and gas industry experience preferred.
- Strong IFRS and financial modelling expertise.
