About the role

Brilliant Performance Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Accountant to support financial operations and reporting. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Maintain accurate financial records including journal entries, ledgers, and accounts receivable/payable
  • Reconcile financial transactions and accounts to ensure data accuracy
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Monitor financial transactions and budgets for compliance
  • Support auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory agencies
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliation
  • Prepare annual budgets and monitor performance
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations

Requirements

  • Minimum HND or BSc in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years' accounting experience
  • Resident within Delta State
  • Previous experience in Marine Industry (advantageous)
  • Previous experience with an Audit firm (advantageous)
