Maintenance Engineer - Blow Extruder
We are seeking an experienced Blow Extrusion Maintenance Engineer with strong hands-on experience maintaining plastic blow extrusion machines used for manufacturing hollow plastic products.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, root-cause analysis, and machine downtime reduction.
- Diagnose and resolve machine-related production and quality problems.
- Work effectively with Production and Quality Control teams and provide technical guidance to technicians/operators.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant maintenance experience, specifically with plastic blow extrusion machines.
- Hands-on experience with machines having capacities of 5–200 litres or above.
- Strong experience with hydraulic blow extrusion machines is mandatory.
- Good understanding of machine programming, parameter setting, PLC/HMI systems, and control systems.
- Experience with extruder barrels, screws, gearboxes, die heads, mandrels, heaters, thermocouples, sensors, motors, and control panels.
- Knowledge of parison programming/control, mould clamping systems, blow pins, and cutting systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Knowledge of HDPE, LDPE, PP, and other thermoplastics is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of spare parts management, maintenance documentation, and machine servicing.
