Technical Account Manager, API Partnerships

Shout About Us is looking for a Technical Account Manager to own and grow our most strategic accounts. You’ll be the primary technical contact for API partners, guiding them through integration, troubleshooting issues, and improving the developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of 15+ strategic accounts as the primary technical contact for API partners.
• Support technical evaluations by joining sales calls and explaining how integrations would work.
• Lead partner implementations by creating clear integration plans and guiding developers through setup and testing.
• Troubleshoot API requests, logs, authentication issues, and integration behavior.
• Work closely with engineering to provide clear reproduction steps and evidence when escalating issues.
• Improve the developer experience by creating and maintaining API guides, Postman collections, code examples, and onboarding playbooks.
• Identify recurring friction points and share feedback that can inform product improvements.
• Lead expansion efforts by cross-selling new features and products naturally.

Requirements

• 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role or equivalent at an API-first or dev-tools company.
• Strong practical understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication, webhooks, pagination, and rate limits.
• Comfort using Postman or curl, reading logs, and writing or adapting small code examples in JavaScript or Python.
• Experience driving adoption inside complex organizations.
• Strong follow-through and ability to keep track of open questions and set expectations.
• Startup experience at a company under 50 people.
• Clear written and spoken English.
• Owner mentality and accountability.

Salary 60K - 80K USD annually (approx. ₦24,000,000 - ₦32,000,000 monthly based on current exchange rates)
