About the role

Human Resources & Organizational Development Officer

Join a respected healthcare organization as an HR & Organizational Development Officer. You will lead recruitment, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives while strengthening organizational systems and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding and staff retention initiatives
  • Coordinate employee training, orientation and professional development
  • Develop and review HR policies, SOPs and operational procedures
  • Drive quality improvement and organizational performance initiatives
  • Coordinate performance management, staff appraisals and goal setting
  • Support payroll administration and HR compliance
  • Maintain accurate personnel records and HR documentation
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology, AI and workflow automation
  • Support administrative operations and cross-functional projects advancing strategic goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum second class upper) in human resources, business administration, management, psychology or health-related discipline from a reputable institution
  • Minimum 2 years relevant post-NYSC professional experience
  • Critical thinking and natural systems improvement mindset
  • Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • Outstanding integrity, maturity and sound judgment
  • Proactive, dependable and highly accountable
  • Ability to solve difficult problems independently
  • Embrace technology and adapt quickly to new software and digital tools
  • Committed to building a long-term career
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Highly Desirable

  • Master's degree or MBA
  • Professional certification (CIPM, CIPD or SHRM)
  • Healthcare, quality improvement or organizational development experience
  • Experience developing policies, training programmes or performance management systems
  • Familiarity with AI tools, digital productivity platforms and workflow automation

Salary

NGN 200,000 – 300,000 monthly (based on qualifications, experience and demonstrated ability)
