Logistics Officer

Responsible for coordinating base operations, validating goods, dispatching validated goods, processing documentation, and liaising with freight forwarders and clearing agents. Ensures compliance with supply chain processes, manages risk and compliance, and coordinates transportation and delivery of oilfield materials.

Responsibilities

• Base operations coordination
• Inbound and outbound goods validations and revalidations
• Timely dispatch of validated goods
• Form M and PAAR processing
• Adherence to supply chain processes and procedures
• Weekly logistics reporting
• Liaising with freight forwarders and clearing agents
• Coordinating port operations in collaboration with clearing agents
• Planning & coordinating skills, including shipment scheduling, resource allocation, route optimization, and contingency planning
• Understanding of the entire logistics process, from sourcing to warehousing and delivery
• Risk and compliance management: Knowledge of import/export legislation and safety compliance issues
• Oilfield materials management, including OCTG handling and storage
• Coordinating transportation, delivery and ensuring regulatory compliance

Requirements

• University Degree
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Honest and hardworking, confident with good social skills, team player, resourceful, energetic, agile learner, detail-oriented
• Must be able to drive and have a valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of transportation management
• Understanding and adhering to regulations related to global trade
• Problem Solving skills
• Effective Communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal & relationship management skills, attention to detail
