Field Engineer (Welbore Cleaning)

A Field Engineer is responsible for planning and supervising wellbore cleaning operations, rigging up and testing tools, troubleshooting downhole issues, and ensuring compliance with HSE policies. They also prepare technical reports and maintain clear communication with rig crews.

Responsibilities

• Plan & Supervise Operations: Run cleanout assemblies, scrapers, brushes, junk baskets, and jetting tools on location.
• Rig Up & Test: Prepare, inspect, and drift tool assemblies while overseeing correct make-up torque and space-out calculations.
• Troubleshoot & Optimize: Monitor downhole tool performance and fix operational issues on the rig.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies during all rig site phases.
• Reporting: Draft daily service tickets, pipe tallies, and end-of-well technical reports for clients.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Problem-solving under pressure and clear communication with rig crews and company representatives
• Useful hands-on oilfield experience in wellbore cleanup, drilling, or completion operations will be an added advantage.
