Merchant Acquisition Executive

We are seeking a high-performing merchant acquisition executive to drive aggressive merchant onboarding and revenue growth across ultra-high value sectors. This role is ideal for ambitious sales professionals with strong prospecting skills, structured pipeline management, and a proven ability to close B2B deals.

Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new merchants within assigned territories and target segments
• Drive end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiation, onboarding, and activation
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline to meet and exceed monthly acquisition targets
• Develop strategic relationships with SME and enterprise merchants
• Execute field sales and direct engagement strategies
• Collaborate with onboarding, operations, and product teams to ensure seamless merchant activation
• Track performance metrics including acquisition numbers, transaction value, and portfolio growth
• Provide market intelligence and competitor insights

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of merchant acquisition experience or B2B sales
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in CRM tools and pipeline management

Nice to Have

• Experience in Fintech, SME banking, or retail banking
• Network of high to ultra-high value merchants

Salary

NGN 250,000 – 400,000 monthly
