Financial Accountant

Golden Oil Industries Limited is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage critical financial activities, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance across all accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, and review daily financial activities
• Review cost statements and capital expenditure (Capex) ledger
• Participate fully in new enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation
• Conduct daily review of customers' and vendors' ledger along with aging analysis
• Monitor and post all bank loans and interest daily
• Prepare, monitor, review, and reconcile intercompany transactions monthly
• Maintain traceable books and documents of financial transactions and commitments
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information for audit purposes
• Reconcile bank account statements daily
• Coordinate with auditors for external and internal audit activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree/HND in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MSc or advanced degree in Accounting/Finance is a plus)
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CFA
• 7+ years of solid experience in finance operations, including treasury, payments, foreign exchange accounting, and controls in high-volume manufacturing
• Strong analytical skills (numerical and legal)
• Advanced computer software skills, particularly Excel (complex formulas), PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong technical, leadership, written and oral communication, team collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work in Kano before relocating to Sagamu
