Project Manager - Partnerships

BBC Media Action Nigeria is seeking a Project Manager (Partnerships) to lead a multi-component Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) programme focused on reproductive health and family planning in Northern Nigeria. The role involves coordinating with implementing partners, government stakeholders, and community actors to ensure timely and effective delivery of project activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with implementing partners, government stakeholders, and key actors.
  • Convene and facilitate partner meetings, workshops, and coordination sessions.
  • Maintain an overview of partner workplans, activities, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Track progress against agreed plans, identify risks, and resolve gaps.
  • Monitor partner performance and ensure compliance with agreements and donor requirements.
  • Coordinate partner inputs for project reporting and learning reviews.
  • Support the Project Director with stakeholder engagement and other project activities.

Requirements:

  • Strong project management skills, including workplanning, tracking deliverables, managing timelines, and identifying risks.
  • Significant experience managing partnerships and coordinating multi-stakeholder projects in development, media, SBCC, public health, or related sectors.
  • Experience working with government agencies, community organisations, and implementing partners in Nigeria.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, partner convenings, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Ability to work independently, follow through on actions, and hold partners accountable.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
  • Fluency in English and Hausa.
