Drilling / Well Intervention Subsea Advisor III
A Drilling / Well Intervention Subsea Advisor III is responsible for providing technical guidance and oversight on subsea drilling, completion, and well intervention activities. This role involves coordinating with contractors, ensuring compliance with standards, and managing subsea equipment and operations.
Responsibilities
- Comment and provide advice on discipline engineering work performed by internal teams and contractors.
- Facilitate effective execution of engineering routines that align with team goals.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication among the team and other company functions.
- Act as a company representative for interfacing with subsea tree, hangers, wellhead, and pressure control equipment during planning and execution.
- Lead coordination of surface integrity tests, recertification, and testing of subsea equipment.
- Coordinate subsea equipment and ROV aspects of risk assessments.
- Prepare deployment and retrieval procedures for subsea equipment.
- Monitor subsea equipment and ROV service providers, and provide project management support.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a closely related position.
- Extensive knowledge of subsea completion, workover, and light well intervention units.
- Experience in managing project interfaces, such as subsea simultaneous drilling and production procedures.
- Keep abreast of subsea completions and workover techniques and apply emerging technology where appropriate.
- Experienced in subsea system hydraulic modeling, well surveillance, well testing, multiphase metering, and flow assurance.
- Strong organizational and technical judgment skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to influence drilling workforce (employees and contractors).
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Fluent in English for technical and business communications.
- Ability to work in international locales and with diverse cultures.
- Relevant industry experience in offshore/onshore drilling activities.
- Maintain a high degree of ethical conduct.
- Ability to work in harsh environments with changing priorities.
- Willingness to travel/live away from home for extended periods.
