Marketing Lead

The Marketing Lead will own the pre-launch marketing strategy for a new membership organization, managing external agencies, building target prospect lists, designing private pre-launch programming, and protecting the brand. They will also manage waitlist mechanics, build non-member revenue streams, and engage with embassies, multinationals, and corporates.

Responsibilities

• Own the pre-launch marketing strategy end to end, from now through opening and the first year of membership.
• Manage and hold accountable external agencies (brand, film, stills, digital) who are scoped to asset production.
• Build and maintain the named-target prospect list: specific individuals, families, embassies, and corporates.
• Design and run private pre-launch programming — intimate dinners, previews, and events.
• Lead institutional and B2B outreach into embassies, multinationals, and corporates for corporate wellness and membership.
• Protect the brand across all touchpoints.
• Manage waitlist, scarcity, and referral mechanics once membership opens.
• Build the marketing engine for non-member revenue streams (diagnostics, physiotherapy, recovery day passes).

Requirements

• 5+ years in luxury, hospitality, private membership, premium real estate, or high-end lifestyle brands.
• Existing understanding of Abuja’s social and institutional landscape; personal network is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience directing creative agencies and holding them to a high standard.
• Event and experience design capability — produce a flawless private dinner for 20 VIPs.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; discretion is non-negotiable.
• Comfort operating in a founder-led, pre-launch environment where you build the playbook rather than inherit one.
