Sales & Marketing Officer (Plastic, Chemicals, Polymer)

Proten is seeking a Sales & Marketing Officer to drive sales and marketing strategies for polymer products across Nigerian markets. You'll manage customer accounts, identify new business opportunities, and strengthen market presence in the plastics and chemicals sector.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer accounts, ensuring timely order booking, delivery coordination, and after-sales support
• Identify and develop new customers and distributors in packaging, plastics converters, blow molding, and injection molding sectors
• Promote new product grades, applications, and facilitate product trials
• Conduct regular market visits to track competitor activities, pricing trends, and segment-wise usage
• Assist in organizing promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and customer seminars
• Provide regular sales performance updates, pipelines, and forecasts
• Prepare monthly marketing MIS reports and presentations
• Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and resolve bottlenecks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in polymer sales, industrial marketing, or B2B commercial roles
• High proficiency in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint)
• Smart, presentable, self-driven, and energetic with willingness to travel extensively
• Familiarity with packaging/plastics manufacturing downstream sectors (preferred)
