About the role

Accountant – The Milk Booster

Join The Milk Booster as an Accountant and take ownership of our financial operations. You will prepare and analyze financial records, manage vendor payments, oversee inventory, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements)
  • Manage vendor invoices, payments, and credits; ensure timely supplier payments and follow up on overdue customer payments
  • Implement and manage effective inventory tracking, valuation, and reconciliation
  • Analyze and report on production costs (labour, materials, overhead)
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support business planning
  • Provide actionable financial insights for business growth and strategic decision-making
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and financial records
  • Streamline financial processes, implement automation, and enhance controls
  • Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure compliance and address audit findings
  • Manage tax obligations, calculations, payments, and returns
  • Support financial planning, modelling, and analysis for strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (customer service, logistics, sales)
  • Provide financial training and guidance to non-financial staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Proficiency in accounting software (ERP), Google Sheets, MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Experience in account management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
