Driver – IITA (Ibadan)

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks a Driver to provide safe transportation services for staff, consultants, researchers, visitors, and partners to official meetings, field activities, workshops, and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport staff, consultants, researchers, visitors, and partners to official meetings, field activities, workshops, conferences, and other official events
• Drive institute vehicles for project implementation activities, including rural and field locations
• Support airport transfers and protocol arrangements for official visitors and international staff
• Ensure adherence to approved travel schedules and routing instructions
• Conduct daily routine checks on assigned vehicles
• Keep assigned vehicles clean, neat, and roadworthy at all times
• Promptly report mechanical faults, damages, accidents, or servicing needs to the supervisor
• Maintain records of vehicle servicing, repairs, fuel consumption, and mileage logs

Requirements

• OND with a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar role, OR O' Level with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in a well-structured environment
• Valid driver's license (required)
• Good defensive driving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Client focus and team orientation
• Diplomatic sensitivity
• Nigerian National
