About the role

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and results-driven Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, monitoring hotel revenue and expenses, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring effective financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions.
  • Monitor and reconcile daily hotel revenue from rooms, restaurant, bar, events, and other services.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
  • Reconcile cash, POS, bank, and other payment transactions.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
  • Monitor hotel expenses and ensure proper documentation and approval.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and company requirements.
  • Identify financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • 2-3 years' experience in accounting.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of hotel revenue, cash management, and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • ICAN/ACCA qualification or part qualification is an added advantage.
