Inventory Officer

Rite Foods Limited is seeking an Inventory Officer to assist in the inventory accounting process by generating and analyzing inventory reports, monitoring costs of raw materials and production, and supporting cost accounting and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Review all inventory purchase orders and invoices for accuracy before invoicing and payments.
  • Minimize inventory losses by controlling unacceptable leakages, pilferages, and nonchalant attitudes of warehouse staff.
  • Inspect all bad/damaged products returned from depots and trade before disposing/writing-off and replacement.
  • Analyze and monitor raw material inventory.
  • Create and maintain detailed inventory of incoming and outgoing supplies.
  • Work closely with relevant process owners to obtain necessary information for compilation, documentation, and analysis of costs.
  • Process and post inter-depot transfers for beverage and bakery.
  • Prepare inventory analysis reports and analyze variances.
  • Assist in compiling cost data for preparation of annual budgets.
  • Assist in conducting analysis of raw materials and packaging standard costs for accuracy annually.
  • Assist in generating monthly and quarterly departmental reports.

Requirements

  • First Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Professional Certification (e.g., ACA) is an added advantage.
  • 2-3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
