Restaurant Manager
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient staff performance, food quality, compliance with health and safety standards, and achievement of sales and profitability targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
- Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Manage inventory, stock levels, and wastage.
- Monitor sales, expenses, and restaurant profitability.
- Prepare and review operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and company policies.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve operational issues.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance.
- Monitor staff performance and enforce company procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers and ensure timely availability of supplies.
- Implement strategies to increase sales and improve restaurant performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant experience in restaurant, hospitality, or food service management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Proven experience managing restaurant operations and staff.
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Experience with inventory and cost control.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; POS or restaurant management software experience is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
