Verification Officer

We are seeking a Verification Officer with strong IT and Social Media Skills to support our banking operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying customer information, documents, addresses, and other relevant details to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper risk management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct customer, address, employment, and document verification
• Carry out field verification and prepare accurate verification reports.
• Validate information provided by customers and loan applicants.
• Identify inconsistencies, discrepancies, and potential red flags.
• Maintain proper records and documentation of all verification activities.
• Work closely with the Credit, Operations, Risk, Recovery and Compliance teams.
• Ensure all verification activities comply with the organization's policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years' experience in verification, credit, banking operations, or a related role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Basic computer and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in basic IT tools and social media platforms.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
