About the role

Network & Support Analyst

Position Overview Serve as the first point of contact for end-user technical support across hardware, software, and connectivity issues within the Gas Midstream Infrastructure Directorate. This is a full-time role based in Lagos, reporting to the IT Services Delivery Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues, ensuring timely resolution in line with SLAs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests, escalating complex or recurring issues appropriately
  • Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices)
  • Support user onboarding and offboarding, including account creation, access provisioning, and workstation setup
  • Manage user identity, access controls, and endpoint security configurations
  • Deploy and maintain software applications, system updates, and patches
  • Assist in network configuration, troubleshooting, and incident management
  • Monitor service desk and network performance, analyse incident trends, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support procedures, configurations, and resolutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (minimum second-class grade)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in IT support or end-user service role, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and ITSM tools
  • Strong understanding of end-user and network device management
  • Knowledge of patch management and network vulnerability management
  • Basic knowledge of firewalls, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Accuracy in issue logging and documentation

Advantageous Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Experience in network infrastructure and information security support (SIEM/SOC operations)
