Android Developer

Conclase Consulting is hiring an Android Developer for an on-site, contract role based in Ikeja. You will design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications, ensuring responsiveness, performance, and usability across devices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define requirements and implement features
• Integrate APIs and third-party services
• Write clean, testable code following best practices
• Perform code reviews, debug and resolve issues
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability
• Contribute to architectural decisions
• Stay current with Android platform updates and industry trends
• Participate in continuous improvement of development processes

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in mobile application development
• Strong proficiency in Android Development and Android Design with Material Design guidelines
• Hands-on experience with Android SDK, Kotlin, and RESTful APIs
• Solid background in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and version control (Git)
• Experience with testing and debugging tools, performance optimization, and Google Play Store publishing
• Banking or fintech experience is required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to work on-site in Ikeja and collaborate within cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Secure coding practices knowledge
• Experience with Jetpack components and common libraries/frameworks
