About the role

Marketing Officer – Hoop Telecoms

Drive revenue growth by identifying, prospecting, and closing sales for Hoop Telecoms' suite of internet services (Broadband, Dedicated Internet Access, FTTH, FTTB). This is a target-driven, field-facing role requiring an aggressive approach to customer acquisition and direct relationship selling to SME and corporate clients.

Responsibilities

  • Actively prospect, pitch, and sell high-speed internet and connectivity solutions to businesses (SMEs, corporate offices) and residential estates
  • Generate independent sales leads through cold calling, field visits, networking, and industry referrals to maintain a robust sales pipeline
  • Conduct professional sales presentations and site-survey coordinations with prospective clients to understand bandwidth needs and offer tailored packages
  • Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate pricing within company-approved margins, and close contracts to meet or exceed monthly revenue targets
  • Manage accounts during onboarding and installation phases, ensuring seamless transitions while maintaining relationships for upselling
  • Monitor competitor pricing, promotional offers, and network deployment zones in Lagos to position Hoop Telecoms competitively
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and closed deals; provide weekly and monthly performance reports

Requirements

  • Education: BSc/HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or any relevant discipline
  • Experience: 1–3 years of proven direct sales, field marketing, or business development experience
  • Strong negotiation, closing, and objection-handling skills
  • Ability to translate technical telecom terms into clear business benefits
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in tracking sales pipelines using Excel or CRM tools
  • Highly self-motivated, resilient, target-driven, and comfortable spending significant time in the field
  • Direct experience selling internet services (ISP), telecom solutions, or ICT products is a major advantage
