Recovery Officer

Responsible for conducting field visits to collect outstanding payments from customers with overdue accounts. The role involves using approved recovery scripts and procedures, researching and verifying debtor information, and engaging with debtors to obtain payment while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned accounts to ensure repayment and report on the status of each account.
• Develop new plans to recover and collect owed money/outstanding debt.
• Ensure discrepancies in customer information are promptly resolved.
• Consistently update the database with customer information such as new addresses, names, and payback details.
• Utilize various tracing techniques and strategies to collect personal information of customers with outstanding debts.
• Negotiate extended payment plans and the best course of action for customers seeking to avoid further debt.
• Convince customers to get back on their repayment schedule or negotiate new payment schedules that suit their financial situations.

Requirements

• Clear voice, effective communication, and cold contact skills.
• Ability to stay abreast with current trends in the job.
• Negoation and persuasion skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of human motivation/behavior.
