About the role
Sales and Operations Manager
Johnvents Foods Limited is seeking an experienced Sales and Operations Manager to lead end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), balancing customer service, cost, and inventory while providing data-driven insights to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and improve a robust monthly S&OP cycle with clear governance, calendars, and decision rights
- Lead demand planning with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to generate realistic, unconstrained forecasts
- Challenge and validate forecasts using historical data, market intelligence, and seasonality analysis
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics to create optimized supply plans within capacity and cost constraints
- Ensure rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) aligns with labour, line, and supplier capabilities
- Identify and quantify supply constraints, risks, and bottlenecks; propose mitigation scenarios
- Integrate S&OP with financial planning (revenue, margin, working-capital targets)
- Provide rolling 3–18-month volume/value forecasts with scenario analysis
- Define and maintain inventory policies (safety stock, reorder points, coverage days)
- Balance customer service levels (OTIF) against inventory and operating costs using data-driven segmentation
- Own data quality and master data governance; champion effective use of ERP/MRP and planning tools
- Develop dashboards and reports for visibility on demand, supply, and inventory performance
- Facilitate S&OP meetings at all levels; act as central orchestrator across Commercial, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Logistics
- Drive change management for S&OP-related initiatives and build accountability culture
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field
- Postgraduate degree (MBA/MSc) is an advantage
- Professional certifications preferred
Experience:
- 6+ years in Supply Chain, Planning, or Operations
- At least 3–5 years directly leading S&OP or integrated planning
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG/CPG, or similar high-volume, SKU-rich environments
- Proven track record improving forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory performance
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of demand and supply planning (MRP, DRP, RCCP, safety-stock methods, ABC/XYZ analysis)
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and planning tools (APS, demand planning software)
- Advanced Excel and analytics skills
- Power BI or similar BI tool experience is a strong plus
- Ability to build and explain scenarios, sensitivities, and trade-off analyses
Soft Skills:
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management; able to challenge and influence senior leaders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured thinking abilities
- Clear communication and data storytelling skills
- High ownership, resilience, and bias for action in fast-changing environments
