Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

A leading MEP Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead HVAC design, MEP BIM coordination, and the technical delivery of Mechanical Building Services projects from concept through construction and handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design, including chilled water, VRF/VRV, AHU/FAHU/FCU, ventilation, and smoke management systems.
• Perform load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Design plumbing and fire protection systems in line with relevant standards.
• Develop and coordinate BIM models using Revit MEP (LOD 200–400) and conduct clash detection with Navisworks.
• Prepare tender, IFC, shop, and as-built drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and clients.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid COREN registration is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with a leading MEP Contractor.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC/UPC, and CIBSE standards.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and HAP.

Salary ₦600,000 – ₦1,200,000/month
