A Humanities Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing and delivering well-structured lessons to students, while also maintaining discipline and promoting the welfare of all children at Rugby School Nigeria. This role involves assessing student progress, communicating with parents, and contributing to the overall development of the school's curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children
• Maintain good order and discipline among students
• Plan, prepare and teach well-structured lessons
• Assess, record and report on student progress
• Communicate effectively with parents and other staff
• Participate in teacher appraisal and professional development
• Contribute to co-curricular activities and accompany students on trips
• Prepare students for public examinations

Requirements

• A graduate with a good honours degree from a leading university
• PGDE, Masters or further degree
• Demonstrable experience in contributing to the success of a department
• Track record of classes having success in public exams
• Ability to maintain appropriate discipline with students
• Strong IT skills and knowledge of educational changes
• Determined, driven, and enthusiastic about working with children
