Lead, Tax and Expense Management

Role Overview

Lead the bank's tax compliance and cost control functions, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and value for money.

Responsibilities

• Manage the bank's tax obligations (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT) and ensure timely, accurate filings and remittances
• Oversee expense management, including budget tracking, accruals, and cost control
• Reconcile tax and expense accounts and resolve variances
• Support internal and external audits and tax authority engagements
• Monitor changes in tax laws and advise on their impact on the bank
• Prepare periodic reports for management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CITN or equivalent)
• Relevant experience in tax and expense management, preferably in financial services
• Strong working knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills
