Treasury Accountant

Responsible for managing treasury operations, including cash forecasting, bank reconciliations, and foreign transaction processing. The role also involves portfolio management and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fund availability and manage bank balances
• Prepare monthly and weekly cash forecasts
• Conduct variance analyses of actual cash collections against forecasts
• Liaise with banks on all cash-related matters
• Review cheque vouchers and supervise daily cash counts
• Prepare weekly bank position statements and conduct cash audits
• Process documents for foreign transactions
• Manage investment of idle funds and maintain records of investment certificates

Requirements

• B.Sc in Accounting or equivalent
• Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA)
• Strong knowledge of treasury and cash management
• Familiarity with international transaction processes
• Good understanding of Nigerian capital and money markets
• Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
