Management & General Ledger Accountant

DO-II Designs is seeking an experienced and analytical Management & General Ledger Accountant to join its Finance & Accounts team. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations, budgeting, expense monitoring, and financial analysis while supporting sound financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports, management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Manage month-end activities, journal entries, ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Analyse financial discrepancies, revenues, expenditures, and budget variances.
• Support budgeting, expense management, financial planning, and cost control.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions in ERP/accounting systems.
• Monitor invoices, approvals, financial procedures, and period-end compliance.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to the Head, Finance & Accounts and Management.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Review accounting procedures and recommend process improvements.
• Guide and support Accounts team members and coordinate timely completion of accounting tasks.
• Respond to financial enquiries and resolve accounting issues effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Requirements

• HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• ACA/ACCA qualification is required.
• Minimum 6 years’ relevant accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and management accounts.
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems is essential.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-management abilities.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, accountability, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Salary: ₦350,000 – ₦400,000 Monthly
