About the role

Supply Chain / Customer Service Desk Officer I

ICRC - International Committee of the Red Cross is seeking a Supply Chain / Customer Service Desk Officer I to manage supply requests and customer service operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, upload, and process Supply Requests (SR) in JDE ERP and Service Task Management (STM) database
  • Handle all supply chain documentation for the assigned Area of Responsibility (MIU Branch Plant)
  • Clarify item sourcing and codes with purchasers and customers
  • Forward requests to warehouse or logistics sources and follow up on shipment arrivals
  • Manage staged supply requests until sourcing and lead times are confirmed
  • Monitor pick dates and promised delivery dates based on sourcing type (local, regional, or upstream)
  • Review supply requests for accuracy before submission for approval
  • Establish and maintain documentation processes for tracking and monitoring each request
  • Follow up on incoming upstream orders to determine lead times and arrival dates
  • Manage orders through full dispatch and confirmed delivery
  • Process internal requests per approval thresholds and organizational flow
  • Maintain accuracy of JDE Orders Follow-up table
  • Report daily to logistician on problems, claims, and unusual requests
  • Provide requesters with regular order status updates

Requirements

  • University degree or technical qualification with equivalent experience in logistics or administration
  • 3–5 years overall professional experience
  • 3 years previous experience in administration or supply chain/logistics department
  • Strong English (spoken and written); proficiency in local working language
  • Computer literacy and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software knowledge is an asset
