About the role
Driver Administrator
Human Edge Consulting is seeking a Driver Administrator to manage and oversee driver operations, compliance, and administrative functions within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update driver records including bio-data, licenses, certifications, and performance reviews
- Schedule drivers for shifts and leave while ensuring regulatory compliance with working hour requirements
- Monitor driver attendance, behavior, and performance; provide feedback and initiate corrective actions
- Track license renewals and statutory requirements
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of driver activities, logs, compliance checks, and incident reports
- Generate periodic reports on driver performance, fuel consumption, route efficiency, and operational metrics
- Support HR in driver recruitment, background checks, guarantor verification, and onboarding
- Conduct compliance audits and safety checks; organize defensive driving and safety training courses
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures
- Act as primary liaison between drivers and management; address grievances and welfare issues
- Assist in transport logistics planning, route planning, and vehicle allocation
- Monitor driver deployment and disciplinary cases
- Support payroll with verified attendance and allowance data
- Manage driver-related inventory (uniforms, safety gear)
Requirements
Education:
- OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Business Administration, Transport Management, Logistics, or related field
- MSC/MBA is an added advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in transportation, fleet, or logistics roles with strong focus on driver management and administration
Professional Certifications (Preferred):
- CILT Certification or transport/logistics-related certifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Transportation management software
- Data analysis and report generation
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting
