This role is ideal for candidates with strong deal execution experience gained either at an investment bank with a demonstrable transaction track record, or within the Transaction Advisory / Deal Advisory arm of a Big Four firm. The successful candidates will play a central role in executing live transactions, managing analyst teams, and acting as a key point of contact for clients on day-to-day deal matters.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of M&A, capital raising, and advisory transactions, from origination support through to closing
  • Build and review complex financial models, including DCF, LBO, merger models, and trading/transaction comparables
  • Prepare and review pitch books, information memoranda, management presentations, and other client-facing deliverables
  • Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research to support deal theses and client recommendations
  • Coordinate due diligence processes, liaising with legal counsel, accountants, and other third-party advisors
  • Manage and mentor Analysts and Junior Associates, reviewing their work product and supporting their technical development
  • Act as a key liaison between clients, senior bankers, and deal counterparties, ensuring smooth transaction flow
  • Support senior team members in client pitching, business development, and origination efforts
  • Ensure all work is delivered to a high standard of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, gained in either:
    • An investment bank, with demonstrable involvement in completed transactions (M&A, ECM, DCM, or similar)
    • The Transaction Advisory Services / Deal Advisory practice of a Big Four firm with exposure to due diligence, valuations, or M&A support engagements
  • Prior experience working on live, completed deal mandates is essential; candidates should be able to speak to specific transaction involvement during interview
  • Strong financial modelling skills (DCF, LBO, merger consequences, accretion/dilution)
  • Solid understanding of valuation methodologies and corporate finance principles
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong grasp of financial statements, accounting concepts, and deal structuring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree an advantage)
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical rigor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines
  • Strong client-facing presence and professional maturity
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Team-oriented, with proven ability to supervise and develop junior staff
