About the role
Customer Service Engineer
MeWe Electronics is seeking a skilled Customer Service Engineer to provide technical support, diagnostics, installation, maintenance, and repair services for a wide range of home appliances.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair home appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwaves, cookers, water dispensers, and other household equipment)
- Attend to customer complaints and provide prompt technical solutions
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and servicing of appliances at customer locations
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal appliance performance
- Prepare service reports and maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities
- Educate customers on proper appliance usage and maintenance practices
- Recommend replacement parts and ensure proper inventory usage
- Escalate complex technical issues when necessary and follow up until resolution
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and technical standards
- Maintain professional customer relationships and represent the company positively
Requirements
- Minimum HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- 3–5 years' experience in appliance repair, maintenance, or technical customer service
- Practical experience working with home appliances
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems of household appliances
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams
- Good problem-solving and fault-diagnosis skills
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit and willing to travel within Lagos when required
- Age: 29–40 years (Male preferred)
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with major home appliance brands
- Strong technical reporting and documentation skills
- Ability to handle multiple service requests efficiently
- Knowledge of customer service best practices
