Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator will provide overall leadership, coordination, and supervision for the successful implementation of the HORTISUN Project, ensuring compliance with AfDB/FAPA requirements and WEWE’s operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, implementation, and coordination activities.
• Develop annual work plans, budgets, and procurement plans.
• Supervise field operations and ensure timely project delivery.
• Oversee project finances, procurement, and donor compliance.
• Coordinate stakeholders, partners, MSMEs, and government agencies.
• Prepare project reports, mission briefs, and implementation updates.
• Facilitate project steering committee and stakeholder meetings.
• Represent the project at donor, partnership, and industry engagements.
• Mentor project staff and ensure high performance.
• Promote youth and gender inclusion across project activities.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Rural Development, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience managing donor-funded agricultural development projects.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
• Experience working with MSMEs, private sector actors, and government institutions.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of AfDB or other multilateral donor procedures is an advantage.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of Hausa is an added advantage.
