About the role
Driver – LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited
Provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for staff, management, visitors, and official materials while maintaining assigned vehicles in compliance with bank policies and road safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Drive bank staff, management, and visitors safely and courteously to official destinations
- Transport official documents, cashless banking materials, equipment, and approved items as directed
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and presentability
- Monitor fuel levels, engine oil, coolant, tyres, battery, and other vehicle components
- Report mechanical faults, accidents, or damages promptly to the appropriate officer
- Ensure routine servicing and preventive maintenance according to schedule
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movement, mileage, fuel consumption, servicing, and repairs
- Ensure all vehicle documents (Driver's Licence, Insurance, Roadworthiness Certificate, Vehicle Licence, Hackney Permit where applicable) remain valid
- Observe all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and bank transport policies
- Maintain confidentiality regarding official assignments and information
- Support logistics and administrative activities when required
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC)
- Valid Nigerian Driver's Licence
- Minimum 3 years of relevant driving experience in a reputable organization
- Defensive driving certification (advantageous)
