Procurement Officer

We are recruiting a Procurement Officer to manage vendor relationships, track inventory levels, and prevent overstocking and shortages in our supermarket operation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate reliable vendors for fresh produce, packaged goods, and daily essentials within budget
• Negotiate prices, bulk discounts, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure profitable deals
• Monitor stock levels of fast-moving items, set reorder points, and collaborate with warehouse/store teams to avoid stockouts
• Raise and process Purchase Orders (POs), track shipments, and coordinate deliveries
• Verify delivered goods match specifications, meet health and safety standards, and are free of damage
• Track purchasing expenses against set budgets, analyze spending trends, and identify cost-cutting opportunities
• Maintain accurate databases of supplier contacts, pricing, contracts, and delivery receipts

Requirements

• BSc, HND, or OND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Must reside close to the business location
• Fluent communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong knowledge of bargaining and purchasing practices

Salary

N120,000 – N160,000 per month (based on experience)
