About the role
Reconciliation Officer
The Concept Group is hiring a Reconciliation Officer to join our Lagos office on a full-time, hybrid basis.
This role involves performing daily bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and managing exception resolution to ensure accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of bank statements against ERP and general ledger balances
- Investigate unreconciled transactions, failed postings, duplicate entries, and suspense items
- Monitor and resolve settlement exceptions within approved timelines
- Generate reconciliation and exception reports for management review
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and posting issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, or related field
- 2–4 years' experience in reconciliation, finance operations, accounting, or financial control
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, banking operations, and ledger management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
