About the role

Reconciliation Officer

The Concept Group is hiring a Reconciliation Officer to join our Lagos office on a full-time, hybrid basis.

This role involves performing daily bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and managing exception resolution to ensure accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliation of bank statements against ERP and general ledger balances
  • Investigate unreconciled transactions, failed postings, duplicate entries, and suspense items
  • Monitor and resolve settlement exceptions within approved timelines
  • Generate reconciliation and exception reports for management review
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and posting issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, or related field
  • 2–4 years' experience in reconciliation, finance operations, accounting, or financial control
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, banking operations, and ledger management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
