About the role
Sahara Group is hiring a Well Engineer to plan, design, and support drilling, completion, and well intervention operations in Port Harcourt. You will ensure wells are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget while maintaining compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and support drilling, completion, and well intervention operations
- Ensure wells are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget
- Monitor compliance with technical and regulatory requirements
- Apply well control and pressure management principles
- Support drilling operations and optimize well performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in well engineering or drilling operations
- Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification
- Experience in onshore/offshore drilling projects
- Strong knowledge of drilling engineering, well design, well operations, and engineering software (e.g., WellPlan, Landmark)
