About the role
Open Market Channel Sales Manager
PZ Cussons is seeking an Open Market Channel Sales Manager to drive sales strategy and deliver business objectives within assigned neighbourhoods.
Responsibilities
- Manage Van Sales Representatives (VSR) and oversee secondary sales achievement
- Expand outlet coverage within the assigned neighbourhood
- Ensure product availability (MSL) across neighbourhood outlets
- Coach and accompany VSR in field execution
- Manage promotional activities and track SFA parameters
- Drive brand visibility through picture of success and implementation
- Gather market intelligence and monitor competitor activity
- Report on performance indicators and market trends
Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
- First degree in any discipline
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver's license
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year in marketing or sales with proven KPI delivery
- Direct experience with PZ Cussons sales methodology, including QDVP, outlet segmentation, and relationship management
- Knowledge of field sales management and market intelligence
Skills & Competencies:
- PZ Cussons Leadership Competencies (Commercial Acumen, Customer Management, Negotiation, In-Market Execution, Selling Skills, Sales Drivers, Channel Strategy)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- IT proficiency
- Ability to influence and inspire without direct management responsibility
