Business Development Officer

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth for the company. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, preparing proposals, conducting market research, and meeting sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, source, and pursue new business opportunities within the security services industry.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and quotations to prospective clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activities.
  • Meet and exceed set sales and business development targets.
  • Represent the company at meetings, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements in line with company policy.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, leads, and sales pipelines.
  • Collaborate with operations and management to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities and performance.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of B.Sc./HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' solid experience in business development, sales, or a related role (mandatory).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales/business targets.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong networking and relationship-management skills.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
